Otley are facing injury problems as they prepare for Saturday’s SSE National League Two North trip to Birmingham & Solihull.
Prop Toby Williams, No 8 Alex Ball, second row Matt Stephens and flanker Jonathan Matthews are all struggling to be fit.
The quartet missed the 33-24 win over Westoe last weekend and will need to prove their fitness ahead of tonight’s selection meeting if they are to come back into consideration.
One plus factor though is the return to action of second row Simon Willett.
He came off the bench against Westoe after almost six months out with a knee problem.
It is unlikely that Willett will be considered for a starting role but interim director of rugby Rugby Ryan Duckett is glad to have him back.
He said: “Simon is a really good man to have in the team and he went well on Saturday.
“It was good to see him out on the field again but we do not want to take too many risks with his fitness.
“It is possibly too soon for him to start a game but we will have to think very carefully about that.”
Duckett also admitted that the four players who missed the Westoe game might not be fit enough to play again this week.
“We will see how everybody is tonight, but we also have to bear in mind how well everybody did last week.
“Our squad was a bit stretched but we got the win we wanted. As we expected, Westoe came and put up a good fight.”
