James Sawyer landed a conversion as Wibsey beat close rivals Wensleydale

A tenacious defensive display that was epitimosed by man of the match Alex Cerson and second-half replacement Simeon Birkbeck enabled Wibsey to seal seventh place ahead of their opponents in SSE Yorkshire Division Five yesterday.
Wibsey played up the Beldon Lane slope and turned round 6-5 in arrears but added second-half tries by centre Bryn Worsley, second row Dan Hartley and flanker Scott Smith, James Sawyer landing a conversion.
