Bradford Salem know all about the distractions of playing at Twickenham, having done it three times, and reckon visitors Selby could be suffering from it on Saturday when they meet in SSE Yorkshire Division Two.
Selby will play at HQ against Drybrook in the RFU Senior Vase final on May 4 but before that they have to visit Salem before home matches against Moortown (next Tuesday), Hullensians (a week on Saturday) and Sheffield Medicals (April 27).
After Twickenham, they are at prospective champions Doncaster Phoenix on May 11.
"Selby won 115-0 at home to Castleford last Saturday but they will have tired limbs with their heavy schedule of three matches in eight days, and they are chasing a promotion place" said Salem's fixture secretary Neil Klenk.
"They have to play Doncaster Phoenix and Sheffield Medicals (fifth), and a heavy schedule can cost you - I am sure we would have won the Yorkshire Shield in 1991 had we not played at Twickenham the week before and therefore had aching limbs, injuries and fatigue.
"If Selby slip up in the league, then Yarnbury could cash in and get the second promotion place if they win all their remaining matches."
Ian Woodwiss returns at scrum half for Salem on Saturday after Terry Franklin stood in so admirably last weekend, while Sam Savage returns on the wing for the unavailable Carl Walker.
Bradford Salem (home to Selby): D Belcher; S Savage, T Williams, S Gardner, D Thomas; A Robinson, I Woodwiss; J Bradbury, S Markey, S Davies, J Cunliffe, J Morrell, R Green, D Pearson, D Hutton. Replacements: A Ahir, J Ashworth, A Veitch.
