Dudley Hill Diamonds will hope their sparkle can blind-side visiting Kazakhstan opponents Club Olymp tomorrow night. The tourists, who open a three-match visit to England against the Bradford side, are currently ranked the best women’s team in their home country.
They won a recent six-team Russian club competition in which they demolished guests Huddersfield Ladies 52-4 but the Diamonds are ready for the challenge.
Dudley Hill player Sue Gunnett said: “We are looking forward to it. Michelle (new coach Januczuk) has brought a wealth of experience which is really benefiting the players and will hopefully pay off tomorrow.”
The match at Dudley Hill’s Perry Lane ground kicks off at 7pm.
