New coach Jason Hirst will be looking to make a positive start as Wibsey Warriors open their Pennine League campaign with a trip to Thornhill Trojans.
But the Warriors will no doubt face a tough test against hosts still smarting from last week’s painful one-point Premier Division defeat to Slaithwaite Saracens.
Meanwhile, Andy Senior must get his Queensbury side back on track at Leeds outfit Queens as they attempt to make amends for a heavy defeat at Halifax Irish.
Sam Evison is in top form – as is Sam Cheney, who collected the man of the match award last week for his fine performance.
Championship action sees Bank Top Harriers with home advantage against Doncaster opponents Moorends Thorne Marauders.
The Harriers are full of confidence after last week’s cracking win against King Cross Park and coach Simon Mitchell will be looking for more of the same.
Bank Top’s back line are on fire, with centre Jason Gelder and full back Finn Lamont in top try-scoring form.
West Bowling host the interestingly-named Nevison Leap. The Pontefract outfit had an excellent win at Moorends on the opening day and will be no pushover.
Bowling will look to stand-off Todd Carter to provide the attacking flair, leaving hooker Danny Gregory to lead the pack.
Birkenshaw can build on their excellent start in Division One by overcoming visitors Morley Borough. Chris Clough is the man to watch following his hat-trick against Newsome last time out.
Wyke welcome Brotherton Bulldogs in what is likely to be a tough Division Two test.
But confidence will be high following victory over Emley Moor and, with James Dewhirst and Ryan Exley in top form, the hosts will be confident of success once more.
Wyke forward Warren Pitman remains doubtful with a shoulder problem.
Odsal Sedbergh can open their Division Three account as they host Selby Warriors, with Oliver Priestley the one to watch.
Undercliffe travel to Dearne Valley Bulldogs in Division Four with coach Richard Cousins looking for his side to replicate last week’s form which saw them defeat Victoria Rangers. Kaz Ahmed is the man in form for the Wildboars.
