Queensbury will once again rely on their bevy of emerging youngsters as they travel to Drighlington in the Pennine League on Saturday.
’Bury are now preparing for the Championship next season after being relegated from the Premier Division following an horrendous string of injuries.
Coach Andy Senior has impressed in his first term at the helm and the spirit in the camp was clearly on show in Wednesday night’s 54-14 defeat at Queens, when they fielded six players aged under 18.
Meanwhile, Clayton travel to Ossett Trinity knowing they need only a draw to gain promotion to the flagship Premier competition. The Villagers ran rings round the Dewsbury side at Lidget Green in a 33-10 win and on present form could be celebrating in style at the final whistle.
In Division One, Birkenshaw are at Birstall Victoria looking to prevent a double, while West Bowling A know they have the upper hand over hosts Dearne Valley Bulldogs after the half century-plus total in the earlier home win.
It is a two-horse race between Bank Top Harriers and Crigglestone for the Division Two title.
The Harriers are in pole position after gaining revenge over Wyke on Wednesday evening and will want to improve on the 12-12 draw in the previous encounter when they play at Dodworth.
Wyke, who are safe and comfortable in mid-table, will still be intent on collecting another win as they host rock-bottom West Leeds.
The Pennine finals take place on Monday at the Dewsbury Rams Stadium and Wibsey Warriors will contest two of them.
The Warriors meet BARLA National Cup holders Queens in the President’s Cup main event (3.30pm) without unavailable prop forwards Charles Marsh and Ross Simpson.
But flying wingman Nick Fontaine returns after a groin strain to replace Scott Smith, who misses out with a back injury.
Queens, who are riding high in the Premier table, are a team of thoroughbreds who on their day can beat any amateur team in the country.
But the Warriors have all come through the ranks together since junior level and have the ability plus the desire to cause a major upset.
Wibsey’s second team meet St Josephs A in the Supplementary Cup curtain-raiser at 1.15pm. They are in a division higher than St Joes and start as favourites, having warmed to the task in hand with a 50 point-plus midweek romp at Whitehall Warriors.
