Wibsey Warriors A made it a memorable day for the club with a 46-20 Supplementary Cup semi-final success against Slaithwaite Saracens A.

Ryan Isaac posted a hat-trick and Cam Bishop (2), Ash Wood, Paul Jennings, Matt Cumberworth and Dave Sykes also reached the chalk to ensure a great day out for both open age sides at the Dewsbury finals – Wibsey’s first team having progressed to the President’s Cup final with a 46-22 win at Siddal A.

Clayton’s Pennine League Championship winning run looked to be over when they fell behind 12-4 to visitors Dewsbury Moor.

They turned the tables in great style though playing up the slope and finished the game 24-18 thanks to efforts from Scott McGee, Lewis Judson and Simon Giles. Prop John Parkinson also contributed a try and four goals.

West Bowling A posted a 27-24 home win against Ackworth in Division One.

Hooker Brett Greenwood was outstanding in a Wests side that saw Adam Crompton, Ryan Wilkinson and Mike Green reach the whitewash. Player-coach Mark Dunning also took the plaudits with two tries, a conversion and a drop goal.

Birkenshaw got back to winning ways with a 34-12 success at Dearne Valley. Tim Menel (2), Dave Scriven, Craig Jesse and Steve Wroe all crossed and Matt Honysett provided the extras.

Wyke stand-off James Dewhirst scored a hat-trick to put the skids under Division Two high-flyers Crigglestone at Towngate.

Prop Steve Richardson and wingman Trevor West also joined the act to enable the black and whites to register an impressive 28-20 tally.

Queensbury A got back to winning ways with a 36-16 win over Whitehall Warriors at Hill Top. They led 8-4 at the break thanks to Kieran Mackrill and Luke Barrett. In the second half, Bury acquired further tries from Tom Bennett, Matthew Wood, Andrew Walker and a fantastic length of the field effort from Luke Cheney.
