Queensbury earned a trip to Conference Division One outfit East Leeds following their 38-14 Ace Insurance National Cup preliminary-round success against visitors Cadishead Rhinos.

Loose forward Brett Marriott was the star of the show with a hat-trick and three conversions.

Joe Swaine weighed in with a brace with Marc Wright, Carl Smith and Craig Richards also hitting the chalk.

Clayton found that Upton could not raise a side when they travelled to Leeds. Their reward is a home date with Conference Premier giants Skirlaugh Bulls in round one.

Birkenshaw lost top spot in Pennine League Division One after a surprise 50-16 loss at Ackworth Jaguars.

Forward Ben Cousen was on song with two touchdowns alongside a solo effort from Andy Hirst.

Karl Wroe kicked two conversions, with the promising debut of former Victoria Rangers prop Ash Vanzie the only cause for celebration.

West Bowling A had to work hard to register a 14-10 double over Dodworth, wingmen Callum Shackleton and Matt Sharpe making the whitewash with Ash Wood kicking a goal.

Full back Chris Curtain got the all-important winning try in the second half.

The Division Three derby between Odsal Sedbergh and Bank Top Harriers was a fiery encounter.

Sedge had Luke Sellers and Shaun Flynn sent off and playmaker Steve Brown failed to make the second half with cramp.

The Harriers won 22-18 thanks to tries from Joe Delaporte (2) and Mark Bailey. Bob Brown kicked three attempts.

Queensbury A's woeful away form continued with a heavy 44-16 defeat at Underbank.

Division Four side Bury started well when young hooker Callum Murgatroyd scored under the posts before debutant winger Luke Barrett scored in the corner and loose forward Luke Cooper raced 60 metres down the middle of the field to give Bury a 16 -14 lead at the break.

Sadly for Bury that was the last time they troubled the scoreboard.
