SCRUM half Harry Williams posted two tries and four conversions as West Bowling cantered to a 44-8 success in the opening Yorkshire Men's League Premier Division fixture at Norland Sharks.
Bowling never looked back after a Williams interception gave them an early lead, and the momentum was maintained as further efforts followed from packman Chris Watson, loose forward Dan Gregory and hooker Danny Halmshaw as they established a 22-0 interval lead.
Stand-off Liam Coe hoisted a spiralling bomb on the restart, enabling the lively Williams to pounce when the ball was spilled, before the Hull side at last made the scoreboard out wide.
Prop Chris Anderson roared onto a crash ball to keep up the Bowling try fest, however, and Norland, to their credit, showed some measure of resistance by replying in kind from the kick-off.
With only five minutes to go, Bowling refused to take their foot off the gas and, after wingman James Crabb sprinted over, full back Max Trueman sent Ben Heald en route to the whitewash for their eighth touchdown in a very impressive display.
Meanwhile, Bradford Dudley Hill continued their unbeaten start to the Kingstone Press National Conference League Division Two campaign with a 32-18 win against Blackbrook at Parry Lane.
The first half was nip and tuck, with Hill having to battle hard to post tries from centre Andrew Walker and second- row forward Will Woodhead, both converted by scrum half Simon Sewell for a 12-10 advantage against the stubborn St Helens visitors.
The defining moment of the match came directly after the resumption, when Hill wingman Neil Wall scored the first of his two crucial touchdowns.
Centre Danny Lee then made the chalk before Walker also claimed his brace.
Stand-off Daniel Softly guaranteed the Parry Laners' fourth win on the trot with his late effort, which would have been by a far greater margin if any of the second-stanza tries had been converted.
Queensbury’s hopes of winning the Pennine League Championship Division title suffered a setback after their 16-14 defeat at King Cross Park, and Clayton will be disappointed that Brighouse Rangers look likely to edge them out of the Division Three West silverware after Worth Village failed to show up against the Villagers' close rivals.
