WEST Bowling welcome back free-scoring centre Adam Reardon for their final Pennine League Premier Division game at home to Upton.
Reardon has been released from his professional contract with Keighley Cougars to resume as an amateur with Bowling, and victory will give them the runners-up berth.
They have the Jack Senior Bradford Cup final against Queensbury at Odsal a week tomorrow and the Pennine President’s Cup final against Doncaster Toll Bar at Batley Bulldogs on May 4.
Bowling coach Glenn Barraclough is quick to dispel any thoughts that his charges will be taking Upton lightly, saying: “We have no selection problems, with a fully-fit squad and competition for places is at a premium with the three big games to come.”
Morley Borough, chasing promotion, will not have an easy ride at home to Odsal Sedbergh.
Sedge, who have made a real fist of the re-organised Championship Division this term, will once again fancy their chances of taking the scalp of a team above them, with kingpins Shaun Flynn and Ben Cousin in great form.
Queensbury A will be celebrating their promotion from Division Three when they welcome Kinsley Raiders.
The visitors, who are bottom of the table, are on a hiding to nothing against a strong Bury outfit that are expertly marshalled by veteran Greg Marriott.
In Division Four, West Bowling A face a big ask at second-placed Eastmoor Dragons, while Victoria Rangers A’s Division Six West promotion surge should continue when Illingworth A arrive at Eccleshill Sports Club.
Table-toppers Worth Village are in danger of coming a cropper in a difficult game at Odsal Sedbergh A, who are also still in the mix for a move up to Division Five.
