VICTORIA Rangers are chasing a Division One double when Boothtown Terriers visit Eccleshill Sports Club.
The Vics, who showed their class in a 22-18 away success last week to virtually end the Halifax outfit's promotion hopes, will be confident of a repeat on home soil.
The Rangers' open style of rugby, inspired by coach John Hodgson, is well suited to the full-sized pitch and the return to action of packman Aidy Docherty has brought some bite back into their forward play.
The well-travelled former Odsal Sedbergh, West Bowling and Wyke hooker leads from the front with his ferocious defence and he will be ably backed up by in-form prop Luke Harps.
Odsal Sedbergh will be looking to cause a major upset when they travel to Championship leaders Doncaster Toll Bar. It is a widely held view that the hosts have pulled a fast one by not moving up to the Premier Division and are playing well below their weight in the Championship Division.
Sedge lost 24-18 when the sides last met but will be buoyed by two recent home wins.
Ben Cousin and Josh Briggs will resume their successful second row partnership and all-rounder Paul Bottomley is added to the squad.
Clayton face a tough test when Division Three leaders Woodhouse Warriors arrive at Lidget Green. The Villagers are proving to be a hard nut to crack this term under the leadership of Scott Pendlebury.
West Bowling will have a strong squad on parade at Division Four Selby Warriors who have a large number of former Chequerfield players in their ranks.
Division Six West promotion contenders Odsal Sedbergh A and Victoria Rangers A will slog it out at Odsal Rec with leaders Worth Village hoping to move closer to the title on their visit to Wyke A.
