ODSAL Sedbergh have a big chance to close the gap on the sides above them in the battle at the foot of the Pennine League Championship One table when they travel to King Cross Park.
The Halifax side are a somewhat unknown quantity at home, having played there just once this season. Sedge meanwhile – who have only one win to their name in their 11 league matches – will be buoyed by their performance last time out at leaders New Earswick All Blacks and have Oliver Priestley in fine try-scoring form.
Victoria Rangers face a big game at Lindley Swifts in their attempt to secure a place in the top three. The key will be whether Vics can breach the Swifts defence, which is one of the League's meanest, averaging just ten points a game.
Wyke entertain unbeaten side CK Vikings at the Recreation Ground in what is likely to prove a stiff test. The Wakefield outfit have the best defence in the division and are pushing strongly for promotion and the title. Teenager Calvin Barker is Wyke's danger man, averaging a brace of tries a game of late, and with centre John Raynor also in good form they have the firepower to cause a real upset.
Speaking ahead of the game, coach Warren Pitman said: "If we play how we can do and stay disciplined we can turn them over."
In Division Three, Clayton have the chance to move further away from danger when they travel to Pontefract to face Kinsley Raiders.
