Bank Top Harriers host Queensbury at Lidget Green on Saturday in the pick of the opening round of the Jack Senior Memorial Bradford Cup ties.

Holders Birkenshaw travel to Wyke in a potential banana skin of a tie. Birky, who have slipped of late in the Championship Division One following a number of players returning to the summer competition, still have the firepower and skill to go all the way to the final.

Ben Nabozny is the best attacking full back in the Pennine League, while veteran packman Paul Bancroft is still a major force to be reckoned with.

Wyke, who are struggling second from last in Division One, have two aces up their sleeves in BARLA tourist Simon Owen and Ian Watkinson to prompt what could be a surprise result.

West Bowling will be without full back Ethan Ryan (hamstring) and packman Jack Milburn (shoulder) for the home clash against Clayton, who have issued a clarion call to a number of retired players. They are set to give their Premier hosts a good run for their money.

Last season’s runners-up Wibsey Warriors travel to Odsal Sedbergh. The Warriors have one of the best cup runs in all competitions of late and are expected to keep their record intact against a Sedbergh side in Division One mid-table.

Sedge have the Priestley brothers, Oliver and Robert, in top form, plus the Odsal Rec slope in their favour.
