Everything is set for a cracking encounter on Sunday when Wibsey Warriors face Birkenshaw in the Bradford ARL Jack Senior Memorial Cup final at Odsal Stadium.

Wibsey coach Jason Hirst will hold late fitness tests on one or two of his players before making his final selection.

One definite casualty, however, is influential half-back Andy Robinson, who misses out due to a hamstring problem.

Full back Mike Derricks, front row David Coates and fellow forward Justin Benn are included in the squad.

Second-row Danny Conroy will be looking to make a big impact to make up for his absence in the forthcoming National Cup final, while Jimmy Rogers is in top try-scoring form and is one to watch.

Hirst said: "We've prepared for a tough game and are expecting one."

Birkenshaw coach Johnny Bruce has no injury worries and will pick from a full-strength squad.

Second row Benoit Rogers is a strong force in the Birky pack, along with prop Craig Jesse, who has impressed greatly this season.

'Pint-sized' Graham Nash will also feature, and in three-quarters Damian Smith and Gavin Mezals, Birky have the strikepower to cause Wibsey problems out wide.

Birky had a las- minute pep talk from rugby league legend Garry Schofield at training this week and, speaking candidly before the match, Bruce said: "It'll be tough - we're under no illusions. They're a good side and well drilled. We'll need to be at our absolute best."
