Player-coach Barry Eaton believes the Cougars have what it takes to get Hunslet Hawks flapping tomorrow.
They head to South Leeds Stadium bidding for only a second win of the season but buoyed by a stirring 30-30 draw against Celtic Crusaders.
The Cougars impressed with their fighting spirit to draw level versus the Welshman on Sunday and Eaton wants the same tomorrow but without the earlier defensive discrepancies.
"We want to carry on the way we finished off against the Crusaders," he said, ahead of the LHF Healthplan National League Two showdown.
"Hopefully our players are still in high spirits after that and we need to take it into the Hunslet fixture.
"Hunslet are a dogged team with a lot of seasoned pros but we know we can compete against these.
"We were annoyed at not beating them at home earlier in the season and we want to make up for that."
The Cougars fell 24-18 on Easter Monday but have made improvements since.
However, they will be missing star centre Mick Fogerty after he was ruled out with a knee injury.
Eaton explained: "We feared he had cracked his kneecap but it's not as bad as that and it's just tissue damage.
"Mick's got his knee in a brace for seven to ten days and then he'll get another assessment.
"Hopefully he'll be back in a couple of weeks and were certainly not ruling him out of the Fev game.
"We'll miss his attacking flair but it gives someone else an opportunity."
Darren Nixon could come back into the side or Matt Foster may revert back from second row while Karl Smith will be pushing for a slot after scoring a hat-trick for the Senior Academy last week.
Eaton added: "Although Hunslet have not won many games, they haven't been losing by big margins.
"Gareth Raynor is a very dangerous broken-field runner whether at stand-off or full back and is one of their most dangerous players while Ian Brown, who was at Fev and Sheffield, is a big, strong centre.
"Andy Shickell is the man touted by Wigan and he's also been prominent for Hunslet but we'll worry about ourselves."
One player who won't be taking on Cougars is their own Jonny Wainhouse.
The hooker has just completed a loan spell with the Hawks but is now back at the club.
He won't play in the game between the sides this weekend though and it is thought Hunslet may make a bid for him to make the move permanent.
