ALBION Sports have been busy over the last week.
They played their first game at their new home of Horsfall on Wednesday night, where they will be groundsharing with Bradford (Park Avenue) this season.
That game ended in a 2-0 defeat against Liversedge, but it was a historic occasion, as Albion finally moved back to their rightful home city after 10 years of playing at Farsley Celtic.
And Albion will be part of a double header at Horsfall tomorrow, with Avenue hosting Thackley at 1pm, before Albion entertain Wakefield AFC from 4pm on the same pitch.
The Northern Counties East League Premier Division side have also brought in former Yorkshire Amateur bosses Neil Sibson and Craig Ogilvie to the first team coaching set-up to help assist manager Rizwan Mohammed.
Another side making history were Route One Rovers, the Bradford side playing their first game as a semi-professional side.
The North West Counties Football League First Division North side could be content with their step up from the amateur ranks, as they managed a 2-2 draw with NCEL side Nostell Miners Welfare.
The semi-professional side will be playing their first-ever FA Vase game next month, as they travel to to Kendal Town in the first qualifying round.
Albion host Billingham Town in the same competition, with Campion at Whickham and Silsden at home to Newcastle Blue Star.
Thackley are at Heaton Stannington and will host Ilkley Town if they go through, while Steeton travel to Boldon CA.
Eccleshill United have an exemption into the second round proper after progressing superbly to the last-16 last season.
As for the FA Cup, the Eagles will start at the beginning, with Lee Elam’s men visiting Prescot Cables in the extra-preliminary round.
Campion and Silsden are on the road too, as they tackle Wythenshawe and Padiham respectively.
Albion are at home to Chadderton, while Thackley entertain Goole.
Further afield Barnoldswick Town host Handsworth, with their FA Vase game at home to Billingham Synthonia.
Those FA Cup games take place on the weekend of Saturday, August 5, while the FA Vase openers get underway three weeks later.
In the FA Trophy first qualifying round, Brighouse Town and Liversedge are at home to Hebburn Town and Nantwich Town respectively.
