LIVERSEDGE enjoyed a blistering first 32 minutes on Saturday afternoon, as their fight to avoid the drop in the Northern Premier League Premier Division gathered pace.
They enjoyed a superb 3-2 win at mid-table FC United of Manchester to move seven points off safety, but with games in hand on the four teams hovering just above the relegation zone.

They came from behind to win 4-1 at struggling Parkgate thanks to goals from Aidan Day, Stephen Crawford, Patrick Sykes and Mark Ferguson.
In the NCEL Premier Division, Albion Sports and Silsden's derby was called off due to ground unavailability.
But Eccleshill United did play, and an own goal from Dexter Ball and a last-gasp effort from Luke Sidaway saw them salvage a fine 2-2 home draw against high-flying Garforth Town, putting them 10 points clear of the drop.
Mid-table Thackley were well beaten, 3-0 at second-placed Winterton Rangers.
Finally, Steeton's play-off hopes in the North West Counties Football League First Division North look to be over after their 2-0 defeat at Bacup Borough.
