THACKLEY have seen first-team coach Harley Hirst resign.

He was named as part of the Dennyboys' interim management team alongside Tom Greaves, Kris Hargreaves and Aidan Chippendale after long-serving boss Pat McGuire was sacked last month following a run of poor results.

But Hirst, who had also taken on the roles of reserve team manager and head of youth development during his time at Thackley, has now decided to call time on his spell in BD10.

In a club statement, the Northern Counties East League Premier Division side said: "Following the departure of Pat McGuire, Harley Hirst has decided that his future lies elsewhere.

"He leaves with the best wishes of all at the club, who thank him for his efforts while in his various roles.

"The remainder of the interim management team, who again took the side against Garforth Town on Monday afternoon, currently remains in place."

Greaves, with the assistance of Hargreaves and Chippendale, will be in charge for Thackley's home league game with lowly Goole AFC tomorrow.

Elsewhere in that division, Silsden entertain Winterton Rangers, Eccleshill United go to Handsworth, and Albion Sports visit Emley AFC.

Campion are at home to title rivals Harrogate Railway Athletic in Division One of the NCEL, while their West Riding County Cup opponents, Brighouse Town, host Stocksbridge Park Steels in the Northern Premier League East Division.

In the NPL Premier Division, rock-bottom Liversedge entertain Bamber Bridge, while Guiseley welcome Nantwich Town to Nethermoor.

Finally, in National League North, struggling Farsley Celtic travel to Alfreton Town.
