AS a result of gaps in the non-league pyramid, the FA has clarified its position on promotions & relegations this season.
Just one club per division will be relegated from the National League North & South
Just nine Step Three clubs will be relegated (rather than 16).
One of the other significant changes is promotion from Step Five to Step Four.
At Step Five, the best ten second-placed teams now go up automatically.
The other second-placed teams at Step Five will play a play-off against a club third-bottom in Step Four.
