Along with all the usual kit tucked into the cricket bag tomorrow on Saturday, several Aire-Wharfe League clubs will be adding a slide rule to check if their result means glory or despair.
Things are so tight at both ends of all three divisions that players could be left on tenterhooks until next week’s final game.
At this stage last year, Nasser Jamal and Mahir Ali tore apart the Follifoot batting and Thackley celebrated winning the Division One title.
Tomorrow they travel to Kirkstall needing another big display from their attack duo because they are in a dogfight to avoid joining Adel in relegation.
Currently they are four points clear of the second relegation spot filled by Ben Rhydding, and two points behind Kirkstall.
Thackley’s fears, however, could be eased elsewhere because Ben Rhydding have a tough trip to Collingham, who need only seven points from their final two games to be sure of adding the championship to their Waddilove Cup win.
Burley have only lost one of their last eight completed games, but significantly that was against Collingham and could prove to be the difference between which of the sides takes the title.
Burley, who travel to Otley, trail the leaders by eight points and are two back of Beckwithshaw, who look to have a nailed-on win at home to Adel.
Guiseley have not scored more than 100 runs in their last two matches but taken seven points, including a win over Beckwithshaw, and all but secured their safety.
They are at Steeton, who have fallen away having led the table to the end of June, but can still be delighted with their return to the top flight.
With a seven-point lead, Harden take on already-relegated Olicanian knowing a win will secure the Division Two title but for the three clubs behind them, things are not as clear cut.
Second-placed Pool should take full points at Upper Wharfedale, while Rawdon and Green Lane, who are two points behind them, also chase wins to keep in the race.
Andrew Doidge and Joe Loorham secured victory when Rawdon faced Bolton Villas earlier in the season and will be hoping to repeat the dose, while Green Lane travel to Bardsey needing to beware brothers Tom and Eddie Clayton and bowler Umer Yaqoob.
If Pool beat Upper Wharfedale, Calverley will be safe whatever happens in their match against Ilkley but with Harden coming up in the final week, they won’t want to leave it to chance.
Majid Inayat’s superb season – he has passed 700 runs even though Silsden have lost five games to the weather – was kick-started by a century against Colton.
Now he faces the Division Three leaders again trying to prevent them picking up the one point they need to be sure of promotion.
Behind Colton come Tong Park Esholt and Menston, who meet in a titanic clash at Menston.
Menston need to regroup after dropping four points to bottom side Alwoodley last week and face a side on a four-match winning streak and with Nadeem Hanif in superb form, having picked up 21 wickets in their last five games.
Illingworth lurk just behind the top three and must pick up six points at Alwoodley to stay in the mix.
Skipton have lost four in a row since beating Colton, the latest to fellow strugglers Horsforth which dropped Skipton into the re-election places.
They travel to Woodhouse, who were recently beaten by Alwoodley.
Horsforth take on New Rover, who smashed 241-3 against Hall Park last week.
Park, who were skittled out for 78, will hope to regain their pride when they entertain Addingham.
