There was drama at Bradford Mutual Sunday School League Group A leaders Girlington (287-9), who took Omars’ last two wickets for no runs to claim a tie.
M Shah had earlier made 99 for the hosts, while Asad Abbas hit 85 in Omars’ reply.
Girlington’s lead was cut to 12 points after Salem Athletic defeated Great Horton Church in a nail-biting finish.
Set 102 to win, Salem made it with the last pair at the wicket.
For Church, Bilal Ahmed scored 44 and Mohammed Bilal took 4-40, while Salem’s Mehr Sultan took 4-27.
Hallfield defeated BPR by 14 runs to move out of the bottom two for the first time. Zafar Iqbal scored 65 in their 187-7, Zeedhan Kazmi adding 46.
In reply, BPR were all out for 173, with Sohail Butt taking 5-63.
Allerton enjoyed an easy nine-wicket win over Bradford Gymkhana after Nabeel Nawar scored 84 in their 124-1. Earlier, Zubair Patel had taken 5-54 as Gymkhana were dismissed for 121.
Heaton defeated Cambing by four wickets, with Wajid Mahmood claiming 57 in Cambing’s 147. However, 49 from Shaukat Ali saw Heaton home.
There are new leaders of Group B after Salem Athletic were defeated by Odsal and Gymkhana overcame Heaton.
Odsal made 150-7 at Salem, who were all out for 104, despite 42 from Muhammed Zakaria.
Shakeel Ahmed scored 64 in Bradford Gymkhana’s 241-7 against Heaton, for whom Mohammed Naeem took 6-47. Heaton replied with 155 all out, Mohammed Shezad providing resistance with 45.
Girlington (135-9) enjoyed a one-wicket success over Mayfiled (133).
Bowling performance of the day must go to Sarthik Joshi of Yorkshire LPS, who took 9-47 to dismiss Interlink for 89. That was in reply to LPS’s 173-8 in which G Ali made 51 not out.
Bowling Baptists clinched promotion for Group C with a 139-run win over Great Horton Church. Akhtar Mahmood took the plaudits with 54 in Bowling’s 208-4 before taking 4-16 as Church were all out for 69.
Cross Roads & Daisy Hill Meths will join them in Group B next year if they can win one of their last three matches.
Dave Hutton took 5-35 as Great Horton Meths were all out for 125, Anthony Moss top- scoring with 40, but Ian Clayton notched 51 as the total was passed for the loss of five wickets.
West Bowling had a six-wicket win over Mandhata, for whom Raja Lad scored 46 out of a total of just 79 all out.
In Group D the clash of the top two ended in a draw. Hallfield first made 131-9 but Cambing held out for a draw at 82-9 to stay nine points clear at the top.
Ian Davies took a hat-trick in his 6-17 as Muff Field were all out for 98. Central YMCA passed the score with eight down but the last two were at the wicket as they only had ten men.
Allerton overcame Mayfield in a low scoring match. Ali Asghar took 6-37 as Allerton were all out for 80 but 5-11 from Umear Aslam saw Mayfield all out for 47.
Yorkshire LPS and Buttershaw ’s match also ended in a draw. LPS made 179, in which Viral Patel scored 76 not out, but Buttershaw held out for the draw at 101-7.
