Ryan Sidebottom produced a brilliant spell of swing bowling during the morning session on day three of Yorkshire’s LV= County Championship match with Derbyshire.
The 34-year-old picked up three wickets to reduce the Falcons to 98-4 at lunch.
It meant they were still 322 runs adrift of the Tykes' first-innings total of 420 all out.
Matt Lineker (14), Usman Khawaja (3) and Dan Redfern (3) were the Derbyshire batsmen to fall to Sidebottom, with debutant Andrew Hodd taking three excellent catches behind the stumps to reduce the Falcons to 42-4 at one stage.
Wes Durston then led the fightback in the remainder of the session to reach lunch on 50 not out, with Ross Whiteley unbeaten on seven.
