Saj Ali of table-topping Haworth Road has won the Bradford Evening League bowling prize after taking an impressive 23 wickets during the season.
Ali conceded just 130 runs in 29 overs during the weather-hit campaign to end up with a superb average of 5.65.
Club skipper Charlie Hainsworth will now be looking for his strike bowler to play a key role when the Division One champions take part in finals day later this month.
The disappointment of Azad’s relegation will be slightly tempered by the fact that Farhan Saeed won the divisional top batting prize.
The quality and consistency of Saeed’s batting produced 293 runs in six innings. With only two dismissals, this resulted in a terrific average of 146.5.
Tong Park Esholt have two trophy winners, with skipper Darren Wilson claiming the Division Two batting prize (over 200 runs at an average of 51.75) and Daniel Bell picking up the bowling award (20 wickets at 7.35).
Allerton skipper Chris Brown emphasised his quality behind the stumps with eight catches and two stumpings to earn the wicketkeeping award. John Breare had Matthew Tinsley and Johnny Hudson level on 2.5 points to clinch the fielding prize.
The awards will be presented during the finals day play-offs at Windhill on Bank Holiday Monday, August 27 (11am start).
