The Dales Council League's match of the day in Division A, between leaders Leeds Sikh and second-in-the-table Apperley Bridge, proved a one-sided affair.

Batting first, visitors Bridge were routed for just 43, with home bowlers Saravakumar Kandasamy returning 6-25 and Hari Seehra taking 3-10 off 12 overs.

Sikh quickly reached their target (44-0) to overwhelm their opponents by ten wickets and take another large step towards retaining their title they won last year.

Baildon (208-9) surprised their hosts New Wortley (185, Bilal Qazi 77,Sufallah Khan 62) by snatching a 23-run win.

Despite this setback, Wortley moved back to second spot in the table following the demise of Apperley Bridge.

Saville Stars (208-9, Rifat Mahmood 62) continue to climb the table, their latest success being a 25-run home win over Hyde Park, who replied with 183.

Inconsistent Shipley Providence (178-8) came home from basement boys Crompark (129) with a 49-run victory, while Halifax Direct (187-8) recorded their fifth successive win after a 47-run triumph at Hawksorth (140-8).

In Division B, leaders Tong Manor (224-9, Dave Sewards 82) increased their lead at the top to seven points after recording an one-wicket win over visitors Cookridge (222).

Meanwood (181-6) are up to second in the table after a 77-run win at Drighlington-Whitehall (104).

There were suprises in store for both highly-placed Apperley Bridge (110), who lost at home to Thornbury (111-7), and Farnley Hill (137, Gary Lewsley 5-22), who went down by four wickets at Pudsey Congs (138/6).

There was delight for bottom-of-the-table Hepworth & Idle B (135-5), who recorded a long overdue success, following their trip to North Leeds, winning by five wickets at Adel (131-7).

In Division C, leaders Tong Park Esholt and second-placed Undercliffe continue to make the section a two-horse race.

Tong Park (163-6) completed a four-wicket win over Crompark B (159), while Undercliffe (93-1, Numan Rawad 53no) cruised to a nine-wicket win over Cookridge B (92).

Baildon B (96-1), front-runners in Division D, recorded a comprehensive nine-wicket win over Wibsey Park Chapel (95), while compatriots Baildon C (23-1) completed a club double with a similar success over Drighlington-Whitehall B, who were shot out for just 21 (Saj Malik 5-14).
