Cullingworth and Oakworth battle it out for Wynn Cup final glory on Sunday.
Oakworth will be desperate to make amends for last year’s defeat in the final, when they surprisingly lost to Foulridge.
Oakworth have been members of the League since 1980 and in that time they have appeared in 12 finals – winning five times.
Their batting line-up is impressive – if one or two fail, there are another four to take their place. Under skipper Joel Gallagher they are performing exceptionally well this year, with Jack Hainsworth the rising star of the batting and Paul Spragg also dominating attacks.
In the bowling department, Matt House is still a formidable opponent, although he has been struggling recently to shake off an injury. Steve Filkin has been leading the attack along with Michael Scarborough.
Cullingworth, who lay joint fifth in the league, have struggled to put together their usual consistency of previous seasons.
They are led by Steve Welch and have Josh Evans, Stuart Rogers as their main batters, backed up by all-rounders, the explosive Chris Welch, Graham Rankin and Luke Taylor.
The bowling is led by Dave Robinson, Phil Poole and Sam Murphy.
Cullingworth joined the league in 2001 and this is their third appearance in the final and they have a 100 per cent record. They have met Oakworth once in the final, when they won 1-0 in the first ever bowl-out used to decide the winners after rain washed out the match.
