On another week affected by the weather, Girlington took advantage of other rivals not playing to become the third different club in three weeks to lead Group A in the Bradford Mutual Sunday School League.

Hallfield, batting first, made 219 all out, with Faisal Usman top-scoring with 95. In reply, Girlington made 222-5, with Zahoor Ahmed hitting 72 and Abdul Reman 54.

Janghir Bostan (62) led the way for BPR in their 149-9 against Cambing, for whom Mohammed Sana Ullah took 6-46. In reply, Cambing were all out for 83.

In Group B, Greenfield-BPR are the new leaders after they defeated Bradford Gymkhana by 44 runs.

Abrar Hussain scored 46 in Greenfield-BPR's 124 all out, despite Anees Ahmed claiming 4-32. Then Gymkhana were all out for 80 as RubNawaz bagged 4-13.

In a match reduced to 30 overs per side, Salem Athletic scored 121-7 (Mehul Patel 4-41) against Yorkshire LPS, who were all out for 54.

VVS Laxman had to settle for a winning draw against Girlington. Laxman batted first and made 289-8, with Mukesh Patel scoring 117no and Sajid Ali 65.

The latter also took 5-64, including a hat-trick, in Girlington's 194-9, Zafar Ali top-scoring with 95, In Group C, Great Horton Meths made it two wins in a row as Anthony Moss starred with bat and ball.

Firstly he took 5-25 as Muff Field were dismissed for 92, and he then scored 55no as Meths passed the total with seven wickets down.

Great Horton Church also made it two wins in a row as they defeated Cross Roads & Daisy Hill Meths by seven wickets.

Umar Masood took 5-21 as Daisy were all out for 78, Chruch passing the score for the loss of three wickets.

In Group D, Hallfield closed the gap on Cambing, who did not play.

Batting first at YMCA, Hallfield made 157-7 in a 35 overs-per-side match, Chandan Sharma hitting 69 and Haroon Rashid 40.

In reply, YMCA held out for a draw on 104-8, despite 4-22 from Abrar Abbas.

Muff Field gained their first win of the season as they defeated Buttershaw St Paul's.

Alan Lee scored 45 in Muff Field's 131 all out, Steve Wakling taking 6-30 for Buttershaw. But 6-7 from Tanveer Hussain helped dismiss Buttershaw for 47.
