Keighley is the best ground in the JCT600 Bradford League according to the annual pitch markings.
The Lawkholme Lane club has come top of the ratings for their outfield from both the captains and the umpires and was ranked second for pitch marks from the same bodies.
No other club was ranked in the top two in all four categories but Lightcliffe came top of the pile for umpires’ pitch marks and Bradford & Bingley were ahead on pitch marks given by the captains.
Keighley’s marks are a feather in the cap for groundsman Richard Robinson, who received a special award at the league’s annual dinner in part for his work on league grounds.
Pudsey Congs were second best in the umpires’ outfield ratings, while Farsley were runners-up in the captains’ outfield marks.
Bankfoot finished bottom in two of the categories, while Manningham Mills were rated worst in the other two categories.
