Craig White has left Yorkshire, opting not to reapply for the role of first-team coach.

The 41 year-old former England all-rounder made his playing debut for the county in 1990 and has spent the last two seasons as Martyn Moxon’s right-hand man after a spell as the coach of the second team.

The White Rose county’s coaching staff is being restructured in the wake of their relegation from the top tier of the County Championship.

White, Kevin Sharp, Steve Oldham, John Blain and Ian Dews were all invited to reapply for their existing jobs in the knowledge that at least one of them would have to leave.

External applicants were welcomed to fill four positions to work under Moxon.

White turned down the opportunity to join Warwickshire as their bowling coach two winters ago, opting to remain at Headingley.

The ex-Australia under-19s international does not have the level four coaching certificate that was stipulated on the White Rose county’s job advertisement.
