Andrew Rhodes produced a 15-over spell of 6-45 to inflict a first Aire-Wharfe League defeat of the season on Beckwithshaw and continue Otley’s resurgence.
After picking up only two points in their first two Division One matches, Otley have since taken 22 from a possible 24 and are running into a streak of good form.
Opener John Hughes (66) and number five batsman Nick Benson (87) shared a stand of 112 as Otley set a target of 253. Rhodes then got to work to dismiss the visitors for 191, a win that leaves Otley second in the table.
Burley found the wicket to their liking at Kirkstall, with Charlie Davy hitting exactly 100, Danny Bryan 70 and Richard Brook 49 in their 310-8. But the hosts were also among the runs, making 249-6, and Burley had to settle for a four-point draw.
Yasser Ali (81no) took his runs tally to 229 in three weeks, in which he has only been dismissed once, as Green Lane inflicted another defeat on Rawdon. Phil Atkinson weighed in with 51 as Lane passed the home side’s 197-8, in which Andrew Doidge scored 70 and Neil Britton took 5-51.
A half-century from Leon Harber and 6-47 spell by Nasser Jamal were the highlights as Thackley took four points off Adel to stay nine-points clear at the top of the table. But Guiseley continue to struggle, comfortably beaten at home by Follifoot.
In Division Two, Julian Thornhill and Ben Waller hit half-centuries as Calverley set a target of 217-9, which looked as though it might be enough until Pool snatched victory when Matthew Naylor hit a six off the last available ball.
Charlie Swallow (77) top-scored in Ben Rhydding’s 153 but Chris Luxton (72) and John Akrigg (54no) led the successful run race as Steeton won the clash of the top two by eight wickets.
That allowed Harden to climb into second place after they took four points off Bolton Villas. Phil Leng (38no) saw Harden to 232-9 and Simon Wood picked up four wickets in the Villas reply, Lee Margerison making 45.
Tong Park Esholt and Menston could only take a point each against Knaresborough and Upper Wharfedale respectively and continue to fill the bottom two slots.
Paul Dove hit a fine 106 in Ilkley’s 265-7 and a spell of 5-60 from Nick Cockcroft restricted Division Three leaders Bardsey to 257-9, giving Ilkley four points.
Hall Park trio Jamie Simpson (99), Peter Kempton (74) and Mark Scaife (55no) scythed through the Alwoodley bowling but the visitors managed to hang on for their first point of the season.
Graham Summersgill hit 67 for Skipton but their 175-7 was not enough against New Rover and they have now taken only one point from the last three games.
Stubborn resistance from middle-order man Will Atkins (56no) earned Addingham two points at second-placed Colton.
