Cambing are the new leaders of Bradford Mutual Sunday School League Group A following their win over previous leaders Allerton.

Cambing batted first and scored 180-9 in their 40 overs. In reply, Allerton were bowled out for 127, M Nissar top-scoring with 64.

Girlington jump up to third after they defeated Bradford Gymkhana by two wickets. Set a total of 120 to win, they passed the total with eight wickets down. Sarmed Akhtar claimed four wickets for Girlington and Iftikhar Ahmed four for Gymkhana.

Hallfield gained their first win of the season after a seven-wicket win over Heaton A. Sohail Akhtar took 4-19 as Heaton were all out for 109.

Yorkshire LPS had an easy seven-wicket win over Omars, who were dismissed for only 54. Pradip Patel (6-14) and Anil Patel (4-15) did the damage.

Heaton B defeated BPR by three wickets in a high-scoring match. Janghir Bostan and Jhanzaib both scored 54 as BPR totalled 203-9 but 70 from Imran Abbas and 59 from Husarm Khalid saw Heaton B home with three wickets to spare.

The new joint leaders of Group C are Salem Athletic B and West Bowling after leaders Great Horton Church lost to Allerton by 32 runs.

Omair Ishtiaq made 47 in Allerton’s 170 and in reply Great Horton Church were all out for 138.

Salem Athletic defeated Bowling Baptist by 82 runs. Salem batted first and scored 197 all out, Muhammed Siraj hitting 64 and Akhtar Mahmood taking 6-44.

In reply, Bowling were all out for 115, Muhammed Ilyas making 56 not out.

West Bowling defeated Cross Roads & Daisy Hill by 100 runs after Darren Ellerton made 52 and Girlington defeated Cambing – who have yet to win a match – by four wickets, Richard Jones scoring 60 in Cambing’s 147-9. Girlington lost six wickets passing the score, Khalid Mahmood top-scoring with 42.

In Group B, leaders Great Horton Church increased their lead to ten points after they defeated Mandhata.

Batting first, Church scored 226-8 thanks mainly to Irfan Liaqat (91). Mandhata (214 all out) looked like springing a shock result while their captain Dilan Patel (80) was at the crease but Imran Khan (6-53) had the last word as they fell 13 runs short.

Salem Athletic leapfrogged Bradford Gymkhana B after they defeated them by five wickets, Mehar Sultan taking 4-12 as Gymkhana were all out for 93.

Mayfield defeated Great Horton Meths by one wicket, Adam Beesley taking 5-44 as Great Horton were all out for 100.

Muff Field also gained a narrow win, by just three runs, over Odsal Phoenix, and they were indebted to Alan Broadbent, who scored 44 in their 155 all out and then took 4-26 as Odsal fell just three runs short.

In Group D, BPR maintained their lead at the top after they had an easy win over Buttershaw St Pauls.

Batting first BPR made 221-7 and declared after 36 overs, Kazam Hussain top-scoring with 82. Buttershaw were then dismissed for 69 as Tahir Abbas took 6-23.

Bradford Indians held on to second place after their win over Mayfield. Bharat Bisht scored 69 and Gaurang Ghandi 46 in their 217, Mayfield replying with 121 all out.

Central YMCA are becoming the draw specialists in this division, having drawn three of their five matches but failing to win any.

Muff Field made 189 all out, with Zakir Hussain scoring 95 – Ian Davis taking 4-40 for YM. In reply, YMCA batted the overs out on 158-7, Steve Toothill scoring 92 and Tanvur Hussain taking 4-28.

Yorkshire LPS are moving up the table after sucessive wins. They scored 181 all out against Cross Roads & Daisy Hill, Hitesh Patel scoring 81. For Daisy, Dave Hutton took 4-15. In reply Daisy made just 25, Narendra Patel claiming 5-11.
