Yorkshire have endured a difficult morning on the second day of the Roses match against Lancashire at Liverpool.
The red-rose county, who started the day at 56-1 in reply to 141, have advanced to 130-2 from 48 overs of their first innings at lunch.
Paul Horton, dropped on 73 by Simon Guy off Adil Rashid, has made his way to 79 not out at the break, and this is his highest score in the LV= County Championship for 13 months.
Steve Patterson trapped Karl Brown lbw for 19 to leave the hosts at 69-2 early in the day, but Horton and Mark Chilton (27 not out) have since shared an unbroken 61 for the third wicket.
