It’s been a big-score week for three teams in the West Riding Sunday Council but not so good for others.
Manningham’s Mohammed Alyas (107) and Amir Khan (59) helped them to 264, and then Zarshad Khan’s 5-47 restricted AMCC to 230, with Rehan Butt getting 56.
When newcomers Skipton Kashmir’s Alex Baldwin helped himself to 118 out of their 242-6, they were looking good for a win.
Disappointment followed, however, as last year’s runners-up Kashmir lost just three wickets in their 243-3.
Attock United had a very welcome win at home to Euro Windows, who made 181, with Amjid Hussain making a fine 102. Waheed Ur Rehman, for the home team, made 79 not out as they romped home for the loss of five wickets.
Attock Sweet Centre had Westwood Park bamboozled and all out for 71 on a cool, damp day but still lost three wickets in clearing the deficit.
Batting first at Allerton, Prajapati made 104 against Khan, who won with the loss of five wickets.
The new season has not been very happy for Shaadi Cards, who were all out for 80 against a tough Abaseen team, who came away with a four-wicket win.
