Rain has forced an early tea at Headingley with Yorkshire’s LV= County Championship match against Hampshire finely poised during the third day.
Yorkshire have moved to 56-3 after 17 overs of their second innings, leading the visitors by 179 runs with the prospect of four sessions left in the contest.
Joe Sayers and Joe Root (31) have both departed since lunch, caught behind by Nic Pothas off the bowling of David Griffiths and Dominic Cork respectively.
Root was out to the last ball before the rain came. Andrew Gale and Jonny Bairstow will resume when the weather abates.
