Ajmal Shahzad claimed only his second five-wicket haul in LV= County Championship cricket during the third morning against Hampshire at Headingley.
The ex-Windhill star helped to bowl the visitors out for 232 in reply to Yorkshire’s 355, returning 5-65 from 21.3 overs.
Having taken four of his wickets on day two, the 25 year-old England hopeful wrapped up the Hampshire innings when he had Kabir Ali caught at third-man.
Ryan Sidebottom also picked up the wickets of Dominic Cork, caught at cover, and Danny Briggs, trapped lbw, while Tim Bresnan also rapped Sean Ervine on the pads after Hampshire had started the day at 189-6.
Yorkshire have gone into lunch at 11-1 in their second innings. Adam Lyth was caught behind down the leg-side off the bowling of Cork.
