Hampshire have gone into tea on day two at 77-2 from 30.5 overs in reply to Yorkshire's first innings 355 all out at Headingley.
Ajmal Shahzad trapped Liam Dawson lbw and Tim Bresnan has forced Jimmy Adams to edge behind to Jonny Bairstow.
Johann Myburgh and Neil McKenzie will resume after tea, weather permitting.
Shahzad has been the pick of Yorkshire's bowlers, striking with only his second ball to leave the visitors at 42-1.
Bresnan then got Adams with the first ball of his second spell with another 27 runs added to the total.
Dominic Cork had bowled Steve Patterson to end Yorkshire's innings in the early stages of the afternoon session. The ex-England seamer finished with figures of 5-75 from 37.4 overs.
Rain has played a part today. Play has been stopped on six separate occasions, although we have not lost any overs as of yet. There are still 34.1 overs to be bowled.
