Kashmir’s four-match winning bubble in the West Riding Sunday Council was popped by Manningham by almost a century.
Their 175 all out, with Mohammed Adil top-scoring on 52, was enough, and Kashmir went down with just 77.
Put in by Friends at Whites Park, Ishfaq Ali scored a stunning 152, ably supported by Amaan Ishaq (59), to put Westwood Park in charge with a total of 347-9. The home team’s Firaz Maqsood (56) and Masood Ahmed (55) helped them to a face-saving 232.
At home in Glusburn, Shaadi Cards were simply too much for newcomers Skipton Kashmir, making a total of 268-9 with Yasir Ali contributing 67. The visitors were all out for a game 138.
Batting first at Woodhall Park, returning club Khan were soon in trouble, being all out for 114. Attock Sweet Centre then made 117 for the loss of six wickets.
Prajapati made 146 but found Attock United too strong as Waheed Ur Rehman’s 59 not out took the visitors to their third win in three weeks with six wickets in hand.
Abaseen, who were at Sutton, made a good 187 all out. In a weather-plagued second innings, with Azeems on 181-9 and a mere two overs to go, rain stopped play. League rules state that the winner is calculated by the best run-rate, and Azeems won by a miniscule 0.09 runs!
