With both teams sharing the Rawdon Meadows ground, there was no home advantage, but Apperley Bridge batted first and were indebted to Umar Khan (27) and Yasir Khan (50no) as they set an imposing score of 140-6.

At 5-2, Azad’s reply got off to the worst possible start, but Kashif Aziz (37) and Kashif Ashraf (33) helped repair the damage.

However, bowler Waqas Ahmed (3-28) played a significant role as Azad’s reply ended on 131-8. Bolton Villas’ Joseph Clough followed on from his fine performance last week by claiming 5-18 in HSA’s total of 130-7.

Despite fine knocks from Daniel Gaunt (31) and Rehan Butt (25no), Villas fell seven runs short of victory. Shelf returned to winning ways with a resounding 90- run victory at Mayfield, while Queensbury were also emphatic 98-run winners at Cambing.

Chris Williams' 53 not out helped Daisy Hill to 139-3. Josh Reynolds and Bryan Greenwood then took three wickets each to defeat a valiant Indian Panthers and ensure Daisy’s first points of the season.

John Breare, Denholme and Thornton remain unbeaten at the top of Division One.

Surprise packages Breare were grateful to Faheem Bedford (38) and Matthew Tinsley (30no) in their 129-5.

With Sandy Lane well set on 112-3, Johnny Hudson took a hat-trick as five wickets fell for only two runs to leave Breare winners by 11 runs.

Denholme and Thornton recorded home wins over Allerton and Windhill respectively, while Brad Hinchcliffe (50no) and skipper Darren Wilson (31) led Baildon Meths to a six-wicket win over Bingley Congs.
