There is a three-way tie at the top of Group A of the Bradford Mutual Sunday School League after Gymkhana, Cambing and Heaton A all won for the second week in a row.

Heaton A defeated Yorkshire LPS by eight wickets thanks to a 124-run partnership between Kamran Mir (85) and Mohammed Waleed (64no). LPS had earlier made 179 all out, with Mukesh Patel scoring 77 and Zeeshan Khalid claiming 5-51 for Heaton.

Bradford Gymkhana scored 209 against Heaton B, Mohammed Adnan top-scoring with 61 and Basit Ellahi claiming 5-49. Heaton were then dismissed for 170, with Safraz Yousaf making 69 and Tariq Hussian finishing with 5-44.

Cambing had a narrow 15-run win over Hallfield. Batting first, they made 153 all out (Akhtar Sohail Butt 5-18) but Hallfield were all out for 138 in reply.

Allerton A are fourth, despite only gaining a losing draw against Omars. Asad Abbas scored 47 in Omars’ 207-8. In reply, Allerton made 167-9, Shabbir Hussain taking 5-30.

In Group B, Salem Athletic defeated Muff Field by seven wickets, Mohammed Bismillah scoring a superb 95 not out in Muff FIeld’s 206-9. Salem knocked off the runs for the loss of just wickets, Aamir Mahmood (83) and Shujjah Khan (66) the men in form.

Great Horton Church came out on top in the battle of the Great Horton’s when they defeated Meths by 109 runs, Gabon Rahman scoring 105 in Church’s 250-6 and Ben Taylor hitting 41 in Meths’ reply of 141 all out.

Adam Beesley took 5-30 and scored 35 not out as Odsal (85) were defeated by Mayfield (James Batley 49no) by nine wickets.

In Group C, Great Horton Church B lead the way with one win and one winning draw. Bilal Ahmed made 86 in their 207-7 against Bowling Baptist, who held out for a draw at 148-8 – Kasim Mailik making 45 and Ghazanfal Bashir 46 .

Top scorers of the day were Girlington B with 333-5 against West Bowling but they had to settle for a winning draw.

A first-wicket partnership of 195 between Taahir Bashir (98) and Mohammed Feleh got Girlington on their way but a 114 fifth-wicket stand between Chris Carter (102no) and Joe A’Hearne saw West Bowling close on 160-5.

In Group D, BPR B lead the way with a perfect record. Yahir Abbas hit 129 in their 264 against Muff Field, who were all out for 88 in reply, Faraz Zafar claiming 4-5.
