After just two sets of fixtures there are only three teams in the Dales Council League Division A with a maximum set of points.
They are Haliax Direct, Hepworth & Idle and Rodley.
The run chase of the day came in North Leeds where visitors Hepworth & Idle clashed with last season’s Division B champions Hyde Park.
The home side, led by skipper Adnan Taj (70) and Kashim Rehman (53), reached a formidable 243, Andy Horner taking 7-47.
In reply, Hepworth’s cause looked in real strife at 43-4 but a fifth-wicket partnership of 162, led by a superb century from Phil Drake (115no), and Mark Mills (69) turned the match on its head.
They reached their target, making 244-5 to record an unlikely five-wicket win.
Laisterdyke-based Halifax Direct (229-9, Naveed Anzari 57) are the surprise package of the season so far, recording an 86-run win over previously unbeaten Hawksworh (143, Khizar Hanif 6/40).
Rodley (219-6, Brian Wardle 109) proved too strong for previously-unbeaten Crompark (146) where Mark Hobson returned 5-9 for the home side.
Just a point behind the top three are Shipley Providence (213-6), who made it two wins from two thanks to Kalim Khan (104no) when recording a four-wicket home win over Charcos New Wortley (212 Mohammed Usman 69, Saquib Mumtaz 50).
A league record was broken at Cookridge when Farnley Hill (361-6, Liam Walsh 81, Gary Beaumont 71, Richard Bedford 53) and the hosts (251-8, James Caines 70no) shared 612 runs, beating the old record for runs scored in a single match of 606.
In Division B, new boys Apperley Bridge (291-4, Mohammed Kurshid 101 no, Waqas Ahmed 74, Tahir Khan 51no) maintained their maximum-point start with a convincing 119-run win over previously-unbeaten Meanwood (172).
There was an explosive end to the Tong Manor (238-9)-Pudsey Congs (236) encounter when 28 runs were scored in the final over, Darren Holmes finishing with a match-winning unbeaten 136 for the home side.
In Division C, Tong Park Esholt (196) notched their first win of the season over Shipley Providence B, who replied with 142.
While in Division D, a tie was recorded at Pudsey Congs B (166) with visitors Undercliffe.
