Yorkshire were in command of their opening Clydesdale Bank 40 encounter with Holland by the halfway stage at Headingley.
A controlled bowling display meant they were set 191 to win from their 40 overs at a run rate of 4.75.
After winning the toss and electing to field, it was Bradford-born Adil Rashid who proved the pick of the Tykes bowlers.
The leg-spinner finished with figures of 2-20 from his eight overs, with Ryan Sidebottom also impressing to end with 2-29.
There was also a wicket apiece from the returning Ajmal Shahzad, Rich Pyrah and Joe Root.
But a late partnership of 61 from only 47 balls between Mudassar Bukhari (25) and Shane Mott, who finished on 50 not out, gave Holland hope of making a game of it.
