Jason Wright knows the taste of success, having been part of Burley’s championship-winning side in the Aire-Wharfe League last season.
Now, after three years at Hodson Park, the Australian has moved down a division where newly-promoted Ben Rhydding hope he will help them establish themselves in the second tier.
He made an impressive start, following up a four-wicket spell with a knock of 60 as his side overcame Olicanian on the opening day of the season.
So skipper Nick Smith will be looking for more of the same when they play their first home game against Knaresborough on Saturday.
Harden, who also got off to a flying start by crushing Tong Park Esholt thanks to a nine-wicket spell from Phil Leng, host North Leeds.
And Olicanian need to kick-start their season at promoted Menston if they are to achieve their goal of going at least one place better than last year’s third.
Having lost their first game, Bolton Villas will want to improve at home to Steeton but will be wary of Australian Shane McNamara – who announced his arrival with an unbeaten 156 – while Calverley entertain Tong Park Esholt.
Burley and Green Lane were first and third in Division One last season but meet this weekend after only picking up two points each on the opening day.
Thackley take on promoted Bilton, both winners of their first games, while Guiseley, Otley and Rawdon all go looking for their first point against Beckwithshaw, Kirkstall and Collingham respectively.
Ilkley, having missed out on promotion from Division Three by a single place in each of the last two seasons, are determined to get it right this time.
After a solid start against Hall Park, in which Rory Kroon, Nick Cockcroft and Andrew Wheeler all picked up runs, they travel to Horsforth.
Hall Park are at home to Colton, one of the pre-season favourites for promotion, while Addingham travel to Bardsey.
Silsden’s slip through the divisions saw them lose their opener in the third tier and they will want to halt the slide against Skipton, although the visitors looked much improved from last season when they got the better of a draw against Woodhouse last time.
