Norwood Green completed a Bradford Central League cup double after defeating Salem Athletic on home soil in the Waddilove Trophy.
Seven days earlier their second team had lifted the Thrippleton Cup against the same opposition. Confident Norwood Green were strong favourites going into the game, having successfully knocked Division One leaders Allerton off their perch just 24 hours earlier.
Batting first, despite being 31-3, consistent batting down the order, led by Haroon Hafeez with 51, meant Norwood Green recovered to post a challenging total of 220.
In the Salem Athletic reply, the bowling of Norwood Green kept a stranglehold over their batsmen, with wickets falling at regular intervals.
Only Mahammed Saeed (51) offered any real challenge to Awais Anwar (4-25) and Sajid Khan (4-30) as they were dismissed for just 110. Anwar, for his bowling and a quickfire 17 with the bat, won the man of the match award.
