Yorkshire have made a solid start to their second innings batting effort against Nottinghamshire at Headingley today in the LV= County Championship.
Notts only declared their first innings on 545-7 after David Hussey had reached 251 not out off 250 balls. They gained a lead of 367.
Ajmal Shahzad picked up the only wicket to fall during the third morning - that of Paul Franks, caught on the deep-cover boundary, for 61.
Adam Lyth and Jacques Rudolph then shared 58 for the first wicket before Franks removed the former for 37.
Lyth was brilliantly caught one handed by Andre Adams in the gully in the 14th over.
Rudolph has added 22, and they have moved to 73-1 after 20 overs at lunch.
