Silsden and Calverley have six matches to save themselves from diving from Division One to Division Three in two seasons in the Aire-Wharfe League.
Having propped up the top flight last season, both clubs were expected to be nearer the top than the bottom of Division Two but have failed to establish themselves.
Having won their opening match against Silsden, Calverley picked up only five points from their next nine completed games, and have been in the bottom two since early June.
A recent victory that virtually ended Olicanian’s promotion hopes, gave them a boost and they are now only four points off safety.
With potential match-winners in Gareth Lee and Imran Mirza, they will seek to test Bolton Villas on Saturday.
Silsden are one point better off than Calverley but have an even more formidable task against Harden, who are one of three clubs in the promotion race with Bilton and Follifoot.
Olicanian travel to Tong Park Esholt, who still need points to keep above the drop zone, while Steeton face Upper Wharfedale in a mid-table clash.
Division One leaders Burley take on Guiseley, who gave second-placed Beckwithshaw something of a fright last week.
Burley will keep half an eye on their rivals, where they will hope Rawdon can reproduce the form they showed last week when a Mark Stringer century saw them dominate Thackley.
Green Lane’s challenge has faltered, with only one win in their last six games, and defeat against Otley will see their opponents climb above them into fourth place.
Thackley have performed well after promotion but will need to be at their best against Collingham, who have lost only once since early May.
Menston’s challenge for promotion from Division Three has leaked a few points recently and they are now six behind Ilkley and Ben Rhydding, who are locked on 78.
But while Menston should be too strong for Skipton, the leaders have tougher challenges against New Rover and Colton.
Addingham will expect to beat Bardsey, while Hall Park should overcome Alwoodley whose sole point has come from a postponement.
Horsforth, however, might struggle against Woodhouse, who have won six of their last eight starts.
