A terrific bowling display by Rich Pyrah put Yorkshire in control of their Clydesdale Bank 40 Group B fixture against Holland.
One-day specialist Pyrah recorded figures of 4-24 in Schiedam, near Rotterdam, to help the Tykes restrict their hosts to 154-9 in their 40 overs.
But he was not the only Yorkshire bowler who impressed, with Tim Bresnan and Bradford-born Adil Rashid picking up two wickets apiece and Ajmal Shahzad the other.
Some late runs from Maurits Jonkman at least made the game competitive.
He made an unbeaten 25 at the Excelsior Cricket Club to help add 75 runs from the last 68 balls after the home side had at one stage been reduced to 86-7 in the 28th over.
Yorkshire were still favourites to win though, only requiring a run rate of 3.8 an over to reach their victory target of 155.
