The backbone of the current England cricket team will be out in force on Sunday, August 15 to take on the might of the world famous Bunbury Cricket Club in a charity match as part of Ryan Sidebottom’s benefit year.

The game, to be held at Woodhouse Grove in Apperley Bridge, will be between a Ryan Sidebottom England XI and a Celebrity XI, chosen by his dad Arnie.

Current England players Graeme Swann, Stuart Broad, Tim Bresnan, Adil Rashid, Ajmal Shahzad and Samit Patel will battle it out against a host of celebrities, such as Rolling Stones guitarist Bill Wyman, former Australian fast bowler Jeff Thomson, Darren Gough, boxer Lloyd Honeyghan and a host of TV celebrities.

The match, starting at 2pm, will follow a three-course lunch, during which there will be an auction of some of Ryan’s England memorabilia, with proceeds from the day going towards the “Little Siddy Club”, set up to raise money for Nottinghamshire and Yorkshire Children’s Hospices.

Admission is £5 per adult with family tickets available from £15 (two adults and two children).

There will be a range of activities, such as bouncy castles and face painting, drinks tents and a BBQ not to mention autograph opportunities.
