Calverley and Tong Park Esholt showed they are not going to give up their Aire-Wharfe League Division Two status easily and they have dragged half the division into the dog-fight to avoid relegation.

Faced with an Olicanian side still hoping to go up, Calverley managed to restrict them to 174-7, with Jamie Hanson taking 4-35.

But they still had to face in-form Bernard Hughes, who duly obliged with another five wickets to take his tally to 27 in the last four games.

But Gareth Lee (33) and Imran Mirza (54) led the resistance and basement-dwellers Calverley got home with two wickets to spare.

Luke Waters (74) and Fawad Maqsood (72) were the main contributors to Tong Park Esholt’s 290-5 but, despite a 6-76 spell from Nadeem Hanif, Steeton’s last pair managed to hang on for a point.

Bolton Villas helped their cause, Chris Hizzett (37) and Barry Hawksworth (44no) steering them past Illingworth’s 126 total, but Silsden’s two-match winning run ended against Upper Wharfedale.

At the top, the title is Bilton’s to lose after they crushed Harden, dismissing them for just 72 in 28.5 overs. That saw Harden drop out of the promotion places.

Burley maintained their advantage at the top of Division One with a comfortable win over Pool.

Charlie Davy (42) and David Brook (41) were top-scorers in their 208-9 before Nick Brook clinched the win with a 6-16 spell that saw the visitors crash out at 104.

Chris Wain (5-47) restricted Thackley to 157 but Mahir Ali’s 19-over spell of 8-48 dismissed Guiseley for 100, taking Thackley’s points tally to 16 from the last 18.

Having beaten the top two in the last two weekends, Otley went into a match at relegation-threatened Adel full of confidence but it needed a battling 60 from Sam Smith to help them hang on for two points.

Andrew Doidge picked up five wickets in Collingham’s 217-8 but the Rawdon batting was unable to cope with Toby Jacklin (7-68) and they were dismissed for 141.

It’s as you were at the top of Division Three, with Ilkley and Ben Rhydding locked on 72 points after both won.

Chris Quaife (4-41) had the best figures as Horsforth set a target of 187, which Ilkley passed with five wickets in hand, thanks mainly to Terry Pattinson (47) and Alex Bailey (72no).

Mark Booth (62) and Charlie Swallow, whose 74 took him to 254 in the last four innings, helped Ben Rhydding to 224-6 at struggling Alwoodley. Swallow then returned 3-33 with Nick Smith taking 4-22 as the home side collapsed to 117.

Menston are now four points behind the leaders after they dropped a point against Hall Park. John Storey (41) and Ben Purvis (46) led the way as Menston hit 227-8 in which Mark Scaife took 4-65. Purvis then returned 4-62 but with Stuart Dobson unbeaten on 32, the visitors held on for a draw.

Darrell Robinson (108no) and Ricky Palacio (69) helped Addingham to 227-4 but in-form Woodhouse still managed to clinch a three-wicket win thanks to an unbeaten century from Farouk Allam.
