Dales Council League newcomers Tong Manor clinched the Cawthorne Cup after a thrilling win against Meanwood in Sunday’s final at Drighlington.
Man of the match Jason Spargo scored 68 and Andrew Keegan took 5-34 for the winners, while Meanwood’s Ben Senior claimed three wickets and contributed 47 batting down the order.
In Saturday’s fixtures, Joe Bedford (55) and Carl Best (44) led Farnley Hill to victory as they managed 174-9 in reply to Pudsey Congs’ total of 171, with J Bedford taking 5-18.
New Wortley demolished Hawksworth, scoring 154 (Asif Mahmood 58no) before removing their opponents for 82, Adil Waheed taking 3-6 and Urfan Saleem 3-12.
Leeds Sikh posted 202-5, Harcharan Seehra top-scoring with 79, to beat Mount, who managed 151 in reply.
Baildon eased their precarious position at the bottom of Division A after completing the double over Rodley, Mubasher Khan wading in with 51 runs before Rodley’s Andrew West (51no) ensured a tight finish.
Halifax Direct were shot out for 81 after Crompark had posted 226, while the clash between Hepworth Idle and Shipley Providence ended in victory for Hepworth after Tom Hawksworth had run up 50 for Shipley.
In Division B, Drighlington claimed a four-wicket win after Aidan Dunne (4-36) helped restrict Cookridge to 103 before Andrew Shackleton struck 47 not out.
Shipley Providence B lost to Pudsey St Lawrence in a low-scoring game and Tong Park Esholt came up with a surprising seven-wicket win over second-placed Savile Stars.
Paul Medley (62) and Maurice Chilton (44) played their part in Hepworth Idle B’s win against Rodley B, while Farsley beat New Farnley by seven wickets.
Baildon B cruised past New Farnley B in Division C East after posting 171 (Leon Risdon 58, Manny Bal 5-49). Baildon skipper Gary Orrell (4-11) and Damian Jolly (5-17) then saw off the opposition for 49.
Leaders Tong Manor lost for only the second time this season after falling to Mount by one wicket.
Baildon C had a poor result at cup finalists Meanwood in the West Division. And Wibsey Park Chapel defeated Crompark B by seven wickets.
