It took 17-year-old Henry Barrow just 101 balls to smash 157 runs and put Addingham on their way to one of the shock wins of the season over Division Three leaders Ilkley.

Despite Addingham’s recent good form, few expected them to overcome an unbeaten Ilkley side that had won nine of their ten previous starts.

And things seemed to be going to plan when Terry Pattinson (90) and Rory Kroon (56) helped the visitors to 281-7. But then Barrow got to work, crashing ten fours and 16 sixes in a stunning innings as Addingham clinched a three-wicket win.

Ilkley remain top on games won from Ben Rhydding, who only picked up a point at Menston who are now just three points behind the front-runners.

Nick Smith took five wickets for the second week in a row as Menston were restricted to 231-7, John Storey hitting 55.

The visitors never looked like winning and fell two runs short of the 173 they needed for two points, which would have put them top.

Zak Keune’s second century of the season was the highlight of Horsforth’s 246-9 but New Rover got home with five wickets to spare in the final over.

Hall Park dropped into the bottom two, going down by nine wickets at Bardsey despite 85 from Sean Atkinson.

Ed Brown (60no) and Bernard Hughes (5-50) starred as Olicanian beat Illingworth by 31 runs and went second behind Bilton in Division Two.

That put them above Harden, who only picked up a point at Knaresborough despite an unbeaten half-century from Jeremy Batty.

Those two are only a point above Follifoot, whose bowling was too good for Bolton Villas, Oral Blackford and Dale Bradley taking 5-35.

Gary Boulton took 6-40 as Steeton dismissed Silsden for 147 but, despite 66 from Jonathan Best, the home side were still three short of victory when they were bowled out, David Wynn taking 4-23.

That was Silsden’s first win of the season and took them off the bottom at the expense of Calverley, who were still ten short of Tong Park Esholt’s 160-8 at the close.

Star performer was Calverley’s Zarshad Khan who took five wickets.

Charlie Davy (41) and Jamie Davey (34) saw Division One leaders Burley to a two-wicket win over North Leeds and they moved 13 points clear after Otley crushed second-placed Beckwithshaw.

Jonathan Hughes (81) and Andrew Rhodes (50) led the way as Otley scored 234-8 before a spell of 4-13 from Ricky Halloran helped blitz Beckwithshaw for just 92.

Green Lane’s title hopes received a hammer blow when they became Adel’s first victims of the season.

Half-centuries from Phil Atkinson and Michael Abbott led Lane to 200-6 but Dave Standring was 70 not out as the visitors won by six wickets.

Stewart Smith (56) and Nial Colman (46no) starred as Rawdon took five points off Guiseley, while Amir Raza (77) and Mahir Ali (4-71) helped Thackley beat Pool by four wickets.
