Craven League leaders Bradley romped into the Wynn Cup final with an eight-wicket win at Haworth Road.

The home side lost the previous day’s run-maker Chris Griggs without scoring and staggered to a modest 119.

Only M Zahid (47), Will Burgess and extras reached double figures as Tim Rudden, James Heseltine and Matt Simpson took three wickets each.

The South Craveners’ innings also got off to a poor start as they lost two wickets reaching 13. But Chris Capstick’s 44 not out and a belligerent 65 not out from Chris Simpson saw them home with no further hiccups in the 21st over.

The other semi-final involved second division Long Lee against top-flight Haworth.

The Golden View side batted and put on 75 for the first wicket on the way to 201. Paul Stowell was the backbone of the innings with 88.

The next highest score was extras with 29. Damian Rowell was the most successful bowler with 4-32.

The Bronte side made a disastrous start at 20-5. Rowell (42) and Richard Gaunt pushed the score to 93 where two more wickets fell. The innings finally closed on 121, including 22 extras.

Long Lee will now host the final on August 15.
